    Michael Podt
    Throughout 20-years in the industry, Michael has worked with numerous associations in professional or scientific sectors, governmental institutions, agencies and companies. With his roots in The Netherlands, Michael obtained a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the reputed Hotel Management School Maastricht. He embarked on his career in 1999 in Belgium, working for an association management company in Brussels. He then joined one of the leading event management companies and PCOs to focus on scientific congress management in various roles and functions. For years, Michael worked in Beijing and Hong Kong. Michael joined New Way Management in 2014. He has a keen interest in sustainability. In his free time he enjoys cooking, traveling and the outdoors.
  • Wessel Nieuwenweg

    Wessel Nieuwenweg
    Wessel has unparalleled experience in organising large-scale scientific congresses, having held senior positions with a variety of (medical) professional associations. Wessel is originally from The Netherlands and has an educational background in Hotel Management & Tourism. Wessel has worked and lived in many places including North America, Europe and Asia. He started his professional career with the not-for-profit Leadership Program of Up with People which provided him with unparalleled opportunity, exposure and experience in many different countries and cultures. In 2001 he joined Europe’s leading Association and Event Management Company and worked in its Professional Congress Organiser (PCO) department. In 2006 he returned to working directly for not-for-profit organisations. In 2010, Wessel started New Way Management. Wessel is a great entertainer and loves welcoming friends and guests in France, as well as taking his dogs on hikes.
  • Malou Meuffels

    Malou Meuffels
    Malou, originally Dutch, obtained her bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from the reputed Hotel Management School Maastricht in 2005. After having obtained her degree she moved to Brussels to start her career in one of the leading Association and Event Management Companies to focus on the organization of corporate meetings all over the world. Within this company she developed her career and expanded her experience to different roles and functions as well as to scientific congress management. She has worked for a wide range of corporate clients and associations in professional, mostly scientific sectors. Her international experience and expertise and interest in multi-cultural business environments brought her back to her current job; organizing a variety of (medical) scientific congresses and educational programs for not-for-profit organisations all around the world. Malou is fluent in Dutch (mother tongue), English and German.
  • Piero Segantini

    Piero Segantini
    Piero was born in Italy and after having lived in several countries while growing up, including the Netherlands, Belgium and Uganda, he is now established in beautiful Tuscany. His career began as part of the meetings and events team of a medial philanthropic association in 2014. In time, he has built solid experience in all facets of the MICE industry, covering multiple roles within the organization. He enjoys using his expertise in events organization, online education and webinar management in order to propel innovative and sustainable solutions in our ever-evolving world. Learning new languages is something that has accompanied Piero through most of his life, he is fluent in Italian, English and French and has good knowledge of Spanish. In his leisure time, he enjoys taking his children to new places, playing sports and cooking.
